The verification of the list of vacant posts from various private educational institutions under the purview of the Private Teachers Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) has been completed. Now anytime NTRCA can issue public notification for this teacher recruitment. This will be the fourth recruitment circular or public notice. However, this recruitment notification is awaiting permission from the Ministry of Education. NTRCA will issue its notification at any time if the Ministry approves.
Chairman of NTRCA said. Enamul Quader Khan told Prothom Alo, 'After checking three institutions, we got the list of vacant posts. These can be further sorted. Apart from this, a letter has been sent to the Ministry of Education seeking permission to issue public notices. But the permission of the ministry has not yet been received. Necessary action will be taken in this regard after receiving the letter of approval.
According to NTRCA sources, NTRCA had invited the list of vacancies from private and technical schools, colleges and madrasas. The work is done online. After receiving the list of vacancies available online, the three institutions are requested to verify that the list is correct or not.
Among these institutions, the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (MAUSHI) works to verify the list of vacancies in private schools and colleges. Directorate of Madrasa Education and Directorate of Technical Education scrutinize the list of vacant posts of teachers in their respective institutions.
An officer associated with teacher recruitment in NTRCA told Prothom Alo that there are several mistakes in the list of vacant posts that they initially receive from various educational institutions. For example, there is no need for Bengali subject teachers in any institution, but Bengali teachers are wanted. Another institution needs three teachers, they applied for five teachers. Again, there are no vacant posts, such institutes are looking for teachers. NTRCA struggles to verify these issues immediately. Again, many people make mistakes in filling the information online. For this, the respective departments have been asked to verify the information obtained initially. It facilitates coordination.
According to NTRCA recruitment wing, verified list from three institutes has reached NTRCA. When asked about the list of vacant posts of Madrasah Directorate, Mohammad Shamsuzzaman, Deputy Director of Madrasah Education Directorate, told Prothom Alo, 'NTRCA sent us the recruitment information of 37 thousand 664 teachers. After verification, names of 1 thousand 102 people were excluded due to mismatch of information or other reasons. The list of names of 36 thousand 562 people has been sent for recruitment.
Maushi worked to verify the list of vacancies in private schools and colleges last week. Then send the list of vacancies to NTRCA. After checking there, an official of Maushi's recruitment department said that there are 32 thousand 500 posts in schools and colleges, the list of which has been sent to NTRCA.
According to the Directorate of Technical Education, they received a list of 1,000 posts, out of which about 1,000 posts were specified and sent to NTRCA.
When asked how many posts have been found in schools, colleges, madrasas and technical institutes, a senior officer of NTRCA said that 70 thousand 95 vacancies have been found in all. There is scope for further verification of these.
Online application, reduced fee
After publication of NTRCA notification, application fee is charged in two installments. One is to get the certificate. For this, 350 rupees is charged at the beginning of the application. Another is the time to apply to the institution of choice after passing the exam and getting the certificate. At that time, each educational institution used to charge a fee of 100 taka for application. Job seekers could apply to as many educational institutions as they wanted. If someone applied to 50 institutions, he had to pay five thousand rupees.
However, this time after getting the NTRCA certificate, some changes have been recommended in the application rules to the educational institutions of the job seekers' choice. Accordingly, a candidate can apply to a maximum of 40 educational institutions after getting the certificate. In the previous rule, he was supposed to spend four thousand rupees for this.
But this time it has been proposed to reduce it to 1000 rupees. It does not end here. At the bottom of the application, it will be written 'If you do not get an opportunity in the 40 institutions of your choice, if you get a job opportunity in another institution based on merit, then will you join?' There the candidate can select 'yes' or 'no'.
In this regard, an official of the NTRCA recruitment wing said that this is the first time that candidates are getting an opportunity to select 40 educational institutions of their choice online to reduce the cost of job seekers. If there is no opportunity in these institutions, job opportunities are being kept in other institutions. These rules can be implemented only after getting the approval of the ministry.
The Bangladesh Teachers' Forum, a teachers' organization that received the NTRCA's recommendation, welcomed the new rule.
